Days to Remember:
Apr 11th - Kale's first easter egg hunt.
Apr 17th - New word - eight -recognizes the number and loves to point it out in books, signs, mail boxes, etc.
Apr 18th - All 4 canines pushing through.
Apr 22nd - 15 month well visit. Kale was teething so bad, he screamed the whole time and then threw up, and we were unable to get accurate measurements. DTaP and HIB shots. Delayed MMR to next visit. Upped prevacid to 15 mg twice a day instead of once. Ahead on all milestones, including language!!!
Apr 23rd - MILESTONE: Stacks 5-6 blocks! New words: car-car. off. guck for truck.
Apr 27th - Became very attached to Mimi. Started running to her arms in the morning and pushing Mommy to go upstairs so they would stop talking, and crying in the afternoon when it's time for Mimi to leave.
May 1st - Constantly talks about Dad. Points to Dad's guitar and says "dad." Shouts "dad.dad.dad." whenever Dad comes in the room.
May 2nd - Added "5 good things" to bed time routine. We talk about 5 good things that happened that day in attempts to be positive as well as exercise Kale's memory. We also talk about anything "bad" that happened (a tantrum, and scraped knee, etc) and come up with a way it will be better tomorrow. Within a few nights of this, Kale puts his hand up to show me 5 fingers to tell me he wants to talk about our 5 good things (rather than sing lullabyes or whatever I am doing with him instead)!!!
May 5th - Daddy gives Kale his first game, Ruby Rhino. Kale loves it and especially loves rolling dice.
May 7th - Knows to give Mom good morning and good night kiss every day. Has become very attached to the spider-man pillows that Mamaw made a long time ago. He is possibly making a lovey out of them as he is starting to carry them around everywhere and require them in his crib to go to sleep!!
May 10th - MILESTONE: 2-word sentences - "dad up" for dad went upstairs, and "ait opfff" for light off.
PICS: Kale's first easter egg hunt. He was more interested in the dog's dirty tennis ball and walking around beating the ground with a stick than hunting for eggs!
